lost between the old and the new

I look all around me
I see the old, and the new
I feel lost some where in the middle
and I don't know what to do
which way to turn and go now
that I am alone, and confused
lost between the old and the new
torn apart, and feeling used

Now I know there is
no place better for me to be
than right in the middle
of my personal history
the old and the new meet here
in a strange new place
but I stand ready
and accept my fate
