You Want To Do It Again
A Poem by Jim Nasium

Shadows move when it's dark and quiet
you're alone in the upper room
been busy as you can be
working on your own doom
strange sounds pop in your ears
your hair stands on end
finding it hard to catch your breath
you want to do it again

Sweat rolls down your face and chest
there's a puddle on the floor
you ask your self "what's happening
what the hell did I do that for"
your spinning in your desk chair
come too every now and then
when you see white light
you want to do it again

No way to save yourself
you ask the powers that be
to give you another day
promise you will try to be
the man they want you to be
for real this time not pretend
your ears finally stop ringing
you want to do it again

Shadows move when it's dark and
you're alone in the upper room
your heart beating fast is the only sound
it's quiet as a tomb
no one has to know what's happened
it only happens now and then
but never the less you must confess
you want to do it again...
