Do I Go In, Or Up

to go in or up is what I need
to hurry up and decided
something is burning away at my gut
very deep inside
I want to make the right choice
but tell me which way should I go
this is all so new to me
tell me how am I to know

It's dark but yet I see a light
not too far away
and at the top of the stairs
I know is a place I could stay
but straight ahead is calling
it's easier anyhow
to go straight and not worry
about the here and now
