Late At Night & The Middle Of The Night & At Dawn

Today she finished a painting
as she sat alone by the lake
painting is her penance
for her last great mistake
she showed so much emotion
within each heavy brush stroke
it was plain to see to even me
the reason her heart broke

Today she finished a painting
a perfect likeness of me
she used brilliant colors
to represent my colorful history
this isn't what she wanted
she had a different plan
life is strange at best
hard to understand...
