The Rain Keeps On Falling
A Story Poem by Jim Nasium

The rain keeps on falling
the birds are still calling
they want their morning bread

I can't go outside
just want to hide
and think I'll go back to bed

I had a day planned
but now I can't stand
I hurt so much I want to cry

some times I wonder
when I hear thunder
why the hell do I even try

II.

Life just isn't fair
I've so much to share
but recently it's occurred to me

my fate's to be alone
my wild seeds sown
and things are they way they should be

The rain keeps on falling
the birds are still calling
they want their morning bread

I sit here and wonder
when I hear the thunder
why I can't get you out of my head...
