Looking out my window
A Story Poem by Jim Nasium

On the other side of the street I live on
there's a Chinese Cafe and a parking lot too
there's a flower shop, a nice place to shop
and a small store selling both old and new
there's a home remodeling contractors business
an apartment building and a grocery store
and I can see the back side of all these buildings
when I walk out my front door

On the other side of the street there's a lady
she works in and owns the flower shop
and when ever she sees me outside
she always takes time to stop
we flirt for awhile, I make her smile
then she'll go on along her way
she so very cute but she's strung out on toot
and rumor has it that she's gone gay

On the other side of the street I live on
there always some sort of activity
people are forever coming and going
and some times that annoys me
but when I'm up here I don't really care
I can't care less about what's going on
other than looking out my window
my interest in the outside world is gone...
