Try To Get Through Tonight A Story Poem by Jim Nasium
She was always there for me
used to help me no matter what
when we were finished making love
she'd make the cutest little wet spot
she baked me for continually
her eyes were aglow with desire
but when I saw her the other day
her eyes had lost that fire...
She fit so perfect in my arms
her lips seemed to mesh with mine
she had the legs of a dancer
and a perfectly round behind
when she held me it was meant to be
fate had brought us together for a reason
but them days are gone, everything went wrong
to each purpose there is a season
I loved her so but wouldn't you know
she never wanted to be mine completely
she took my heart right from the start
and she knew that she had me
but now I think I understand
what was really going on
and all I can do, is try to get through
tonight, and see one more dawn...
