I'll Never Be The Same

I close my eyes
and see your face
I miss you so much
your silk and lace
I long to hold you
but you're not here
you've become distant
and why's pretty clear

I shut my eyes
but I can see you
you're standing naked
like you used to
when you came to me
every day and night
now I just long to
hold you tight

My eyes are closed
but I can see you
some where, some place
doing what we use to do
you're alone together
with some other man
when I said I love you
didn't you understand

My eyes are shut
fingers in my ears
I wasted my time
all these past years
I wanted some thing
you already had
and you don't want me
any wonder I'm sad

My eyes are closed
I'm here all alone
tears fall from my eyes
I pick up the phone
but you don't answer
you're not even there
you've hurt me so much
but you don't even care

My eyes are shut
but I can see you
and it's plain to see
what you're up to
some day I'll find out
what I'm supposed to do
but the way things look
you and I are through

My eyes are open now
and I can clearly see
the truth behind your lies
you just don't want me
some time when you're with him
I hope you call him my name
you've broken my heart
I'll never be the same....
