A dream is a wish your heart makes
may all your dreams come true
I know I'm a foolish dreamer
especially when it comes to you
I sit and wait and day dream
how wonderful things would be
but my dream's just a wish my heart made
that will never come true for me

A dream is a wish your heart makes
to give you strength to go on
but things still remain the same
and now the dream is gone
how long is any one man
to wait for a dream to come true
when he's helpless to change fate
and there's not one thing he can do

A dream is a wish your heart makes
may all your dreams come true
I wish you luck and all the best
with every thing you do
remember me when you can't sleep
or maybe even in your dreams at night
know my dream turned out a nightmare
yet I long to hold you tight..
