Sleeping Alone

"Being in love with a married man
is not an easy thing to do"
she told me just the other day
when I bumped into her at the zoo
I told her I can understand
the way she must feel
went on to tell her that I knew
the pain is very real
"Being in love with a married woman
is not an easy thing to do
she's at home sleeping in her bed
but you want her sleeping with you
it's not that much different
than the situation you find yourself in
no matter how much you try
you're never going to win"
"That's not what I wanted to hear"
she said as a matter of factly
then she said she had to go
but it was nice bumping into me
she can never ever be happy
he will never leave his home
so every night by the moon light
she ends up sleeping alone....
