Tests

"You need tests to get tests to get tested"
that's what they told me today
at one point I had all I could take
got up and started walking away
"come back here or we can't operate
you need to get all the tests done"
sitting around waiting all day long
to me wasn't very much fun
They checked my heart and my lungs
checked my blood and urine too
took X-Rays and asked questions
all day till well past two
then sent me to another building
to get more tests and just about then
I had all I can take but make no mistake
they want me to come back again
Seven hours of tests to get tested
just to see if I will be ok
to get another operation
they say I need right away
filling out forms and answering questions
till I just couldn't take any more
I had no idea today would be like this
didn't know what all was in store
I'm the one that can't walk well
my hip implant is as loose as can be
but I'm the one the sent downtown
till way past half past three
walking from office to office
from building to building too
I'm weak on my feet and thankful for this seat
there's little to nothing I can do
"You need test to get test to get tested"

I've had all I can take of this ordeal
can you understand what I mean?...
