If Not For Bad Luck

Went to the local dollar store
everything there was four ninety-five
saw my doctor the other day
he was surprised to see me alive
went to a twenty-four hour market
the frigging place was shut down
there wasn't a car in the parking lot
wasn't a soul around
Wanted to go out to see a movie
when I got there the theater was closed
every time some one gives me a good deal
I feel like I'm getting hosed
can't believe half of what I hear
no one says what they mean any more
I don't understand what's going on
what's everybody take advantage of me for
Why do I have to park in a drive way
the take a drive out on the park way
why can't folks be honest
and mean what they say
no one seems to care any more
it's not always been this way
if not for bad luck I've have none at all
let me tell ya what happened today
