Some Men
A Poem by Jim Nasium
Some men can't wait to get married
and raise up a family
get a house with a white picket fence
a garden and a tree
they work hard for thirty years
retire and don't have a cent
they sit in the shade of their tree
wondering where the hell the time went
Some men like to have adventure
it's some time that turns them on
when they are off in a far away place
they don't mind that their loved ones are gone
curiosity burns inside of them
they never seem to get their fill
they're always willing to try some thing new
just looking for a cheap thrill
Not every man can be loyal to one woman
some need excitement in their life
they don't want to settle down
with children, a mortgage and wife
they'd rather be able to run free
taking it from day to day
never knowing what may come next
ready, able and willing to play
Some men need to move around
they like to go from hole to hole
they don't care about true love
or feeling love way down in their soul
excitement is what they life for
each new woman an adventure true
they never know when some one will come along
always willing to try someone new
