I Love You Negril

out on the west end
of a beautiful isle
in a very small town
where I lived for awhile
in West Moorland parish
up on Monkey Hill
the town of my heart
I love you Negril
many friendly people
own shops in the town
the market's always open
it never shuts down
anything you want
can be had for a price
some times it's free
if you're really nice
meat and fruit pattie
coconut drink
fish on a stick
sometimes they stink
goat heads soup
peas and rice
breadfruit and yams
are always nice
ackee and kalalu
mutton and rice
eating in Jamaica
is always nice
fresh fruits and veggies
served up real nice
eat some jerk chicken
it's loaded with spice
raisin rum ice cream
cold red stripe beer
walking the back streets
there's nothing to fear
but gaining a few pounds
from all that you eat
I love the food of Jamaica
and don't mind the heat
friend bananas
cheese and a bun
eating in Jamaica
is a whole lot of fun
the people are friendly
there are never any fights
I really did get lost there
one day for three nights
out on the west end
of that beautiful isle
in a very small town
where I lived for awhile
