Frightened And Lame
A Poem by Jim Nasium

I once knew a woman
who was made to fit me
she had the greenest eyes
I'd ever did seen

her lips were full
wet and red
we fit like two spoons
when we went to bed

she wasn't too tall
and built just right
we got along swell
never had a fight

our sex was great
it was love for sure
but I don't hear
from her any more

when we kissed
our breath mixed in our lungs
we pretended to be French
danced with our tongues

we'd cuddle and hug up
all through the night
such a wonderful feeling
to feel that right

but that was then
and this is now
I can't seem to forget
her no how

was it better to love
and loose the game
than to not love at all
frightened and lame ...
