I watch her as she gets dressed
for the last time, this time I fear
she told me she has to go away
and won't be coming back here
I stand and watch her quietly
I haven't much to say
what can ya do when your lady friend
makes up her mind to move away
I watched her pull up her stocking
her leg so long and fine
the room starts to spin
I think I'm loosing my mind
I don't want her to go away
but I know she can't stay here
she needs to do what she has to do
that much is very clear
