Way Out In The Jungle
A Poem by Jim Nasium

I was way out in the jungle
not feeling very good
I've got to learn to sleep at night
like all good white boys should

the road went on forever
I had no idea for how long
just then I heard someone singing
I followed it like a siren song

I saw a lovely Indian girl
playing with her hair
she was sitting near the river bank
in just her underwear

I called out to her and smiled
she invited me to sit there too
it didn't bother her she was naked
and I had no idea what she wanted to do

the hours went by quickly
she fed me and made me strong
and the things I did it to her
could never be called wrong

she never will forget me
and that wonderful afternoon
when she met a white man walking
and gave in to him too soon...
