They say one picture is worth 1000 words, I think that's the main reason I like to show some of my art with a poem I wrote
I hope you enjoy this new poem I call
The Writer
Lovers sit and talk awhile
here in this outdoor cafe
they all seem to be happy
as the writer goes on his way
alone and feeling good about that
no matter what you say
lovers only stay lovers for awhile
sooner or later it will end one day
The writer sees two lovers
corner table outdoor cafe
he starts to write about them
making up stuff they'd say
as fast as he can he types out
a story just for the two
after all this is exactly
the kind of thing that writers do
twilight comes and they're still sitting there
a little tired and drunk from the wine
the writer is very amazed at all
the new things he was able to find
he uses life all around him
in the stories he writes each day
some times he'll draw about it too
after all you know what they say
on picture is worth one thousand words
maybe that the reason I draw
now that you saw the art for this poem
isn't it easier to understand once you saw
a picture that I drew for you
to show you something I saw
two lovers sitting in an outdoor cafe
one day sometime last fall
