They say one picture is worth 1000 words, I think that's the main reason I like to show some of my art with a poem I wrote
I hope you enjoy this new poem I call
The Lovers
Two lovers sit and talk awhile
here in this outdoor cafe
they both seem to be happy
when they come here almost every day
I know she is in love with him
I know he plays around
I saw him just the other day
over on the bad side of town
I sit near by and listen
to all the things he'll say
sometimes he brings her candy
he brought her flowers today
she thinks he is in love with her
but to me it's plain to see
as soon as something new comes along
she will be history
he sweet talks her as time goes by
I can see her getting wet
she may be having a good time now
but soon I know he'll forget
all about her and this place
where they meet from day to day
a corner table on a back street
in an open air cafe
