I hope you enjoy this new poem I call


The Horse I Rented

I knew a man who had a horse
that he would rent to me
I'd meet him every morning
gladly give him a twenty
I'd use the horse all day long
just to get around
I fed him when I ate
at a cafe in the town

the horse was very beautiful
big and very strong
when I was riding high
nothing could go wrong
I'd like to show you two photos
of the horse I used to ride
many years ago when I was young
and full of foolish pride

he man was very poor
he had a large family
he really needed the money
that he would get from me
I really needed the horse
so everything worked out ok
the horse would even wait for me
while I was drinking in some cafe...
