The End Of The Line

Walking for miles or so it seemed
we ended up on the bad side of town
it was dark and very quiet
no one else was around
we stood there very quiet
didn't know exactly what to say
we knew that we were lost
a barricade stood in our way

At last we hit the end of the line
nothing left but to turn around
I had no idea this could happen to me
over here on the bad side of town
about five minutes passed slowly by
then finally he spoke
he said "I think we're lost
and that's not a joke"

I said "I must agree with you"
now tell me what do we do
it looks like this freaking barricade
gonna be hard to get through
I wonder who put this here
and what purpose does it serve"
we decided it best to do the deal
before we lost our nerve

The End Of The Line is no place to be
let me tell you because I know
it's a place I used to find myself
when I had no other place to go
it's dirty and not safe down there
not for people like you or me
so lets get ourselves out'a here
as quickly as can be...
