They say one picture is worth 1000 words, I think that's the main reason I like to show some of my art with a poem I wrote I hope you enjoy this new poem I call
The Lady On Stage
On stage is where I first saw her
some back street after hours cafe
she was doing a song and dance routine
it was hard to hear what she'd say
the place was crowded and smoky
but still I didn't want to leave
I wanted to meet the lady on stage
and I had a trick up my sleeve
working my way to the front of the crowd
I saw a table with an empty seat
now she was just at eye level
she had the tiniest feet
her legs were long and slender
shaped just perfectly right
I wanted to meet the lady on stage
and I was going to meet her tonight
The usher standing by the curtain
started to pull out a smoke
so I went and stood next to him
started telling him a joke
asked him for a cigarette
as I offered him a light
I had to meet the lady on stage
and knew how I could tonight
her act was finally over
everyone in the room stood to cheer
as she made her way back stage
I simply disappeared
I got back stage un noticed
went right to her dressing room
I had to meet the lady on stage
even if it meant my doom
come in the door is open
she said after I gently knocked
I was surprised to see that she
kept her dressing room door unlocked
she smiled when she saw me
said I knew it would be you
the lady on stage was waiting
she saw all that I just went through
I asked to beg her pardon
but told her I couldn't control
the feeling I got when I saw her
she touched me deep in my soul
with a smile she spoke volumes
then asked me to tell her my name
the lady on stage was interested in me
our desires were exactly the same
On stage is where I first saw her
some back street after hours cafe
she was doing a song and dance routine
it turned out to be my lucky day
when the show was finally over
she asked me back to her flat
the lady on stage wanted me too what'a ya think about that...
I finally made my way back stage and walk towards her dressing room even though I had never been there before... it was as if something insside of me knew exactly where I had to go.
