They say one picture is worth 1000 words, I think that's the main reason I like to show some of my art with a poem I wrote I hope you enjoy this new poem I call
Conquian Note: Conquian \KONG-kee-un\ (noun) is a card game for two played with 40 cards
An endless game of conquian
the shady side of the street
an open air corner cafe
perhaps a little treat
wine, cheese fish and bread
life on this island is grand
not much to do down here at all
but play another hand
An endless breeze blows ashore
as we sit and play conquian
the hours pass uneventful
before we know it day is done
the shore is smaller than before
the sky a brilliant red
there's not much left for us to do
but call it a day and go to bed
The moon shines in all it's glory
the breeze flows through the trees we lay together naked
you look at me and say please
I tell you there's no need to ask
I'm thinking the exact same thing
I roll over and kiss you gently
a distance church bell rings
Exhausted from the time we spent
tangled in a lovers knot
we spoon until we fall asleep
very thankful for all we got
life here on this island
is the way life's meant to be
I'm happy that you're here
to play conquian with me
