Every day things just get worst for me
I don't know how much I can take
maybe I pack up the car
and take a drive to the lake
I'll spend the day and evening
having fun with my Mommy
I know that pretty soon
The Lord's gonna take her from me
I don't know what I'm going to do
this is the beginning of the end
the day The Lord takes mother home
I'll loose my only true friend
I don't know if I can do this
this is the worst thing that's happened to me
but I know her time is coming soon
what will be, must be
I guess after she is gone
I'll walk back streets at night
maybe I'll sing Hallelujah
as I look for something to get right
Maybe the Lord will hear me
and take me home to Him too
maybe I'll sing Hallelujah
I'm not sure what I'll do
Late one night while walking alone
in a place I shouldn't go
I saw a man on the corner
with his hand out that I didn't know
Here's another poem about singing halleluja
They All Sang Hallelujah
by Jim Nasium
A man stands on the corner
his hand is out to you
he wants some of your spare change
you're not sure what to do
but then he sings hallelujah
halle hallelujah
the beggar sings hallelujah
and his song cuts right through ya
You give him a couple of dollars
tell him to get something to eat
he thanks you and makes his way
to the dealer across the street
but he sings out hallelujah
halle hallelujah
the beggar sings hallelujah
and his song it cuts right through ya
He takes the thing that he's just bought
pushes it down in his pocket
you can see the smile on his face
he's very happy that he has it
so he sings out hallelujah
halle hallelujah
the beggar sings hallelujah
and his song cuts right through ya
So you follow him down the alley
to some boxes all in a row
covered with scrap metal and plastic
a place that bag people go
and they all sang hallelujah
halle hallelujah
they all sang out hallelujah
and their song cuts right through ya
In shock you stand perfectly quiet
as the masses start to form
a whole spectrum of people are there
that didn't want to conform
and they all sang hallelujah
halle hallelujah
they all sang hallelujah
their song cuts right through ya
No one seemed to mind you watching
what they wanted was in their eyes
but you didn't have any answers
because no one really knows why
they all sang hallelujah
halle hallelujah
they sang out hallelujah
and their song it cuts right through ya
At night when you go walking
you look for that place and your friend
you have food you'd like to give
but it looks liked they moved again
and they all sang hallelujah
halle hallelujah
they all sang hallelujah
and their song would go right through you...
