The Usual Place

Tell her I'll be waiting
at the usual place
she will recognize me
by the look on my face

it's been such a long time
since I've been there before
I had promised myself that
I'd not go there no more

things build up slowly
then they want to explode
and I'm always looking
for the mother load

only trouble I have
when I go back to my old ways
I don't want to leave
I get lost one night for three days

I always remember that one thing
you told me not to forget
but a man does what he has to
there's no time to regret

so tell her I'll be waiting
at the usual place
ask her to look her best
to wear black silk and lace

it's been a long time
since I've been there before
never wanted to do it but
I'm going back for more

sign my gusetbook please
